Oh my gourd, a sneak peek! I loved the violent, bloody, twisted first game so much! Hopefully this one doesn't try to latch on and/or mimic Tim Burton's Alice world. That would make me very sad.

I've been trying to catch up on music lately. I first heard The Big Pink a few months ago on an XM station, but it took me a while to check 'em out. This is their video for "Velvet." Check out their main site here.

Florence and the Machine

I downloaded her CD "Lungs" over the weekend, and I'm really digging it. She has kind of a folksy Goldfrapp vibe. I keep wanting her to be pretty when I watch her videos, but every time she smiles, she looks like a man. I love her hair, though! You can see more of her on her site.

Dubai

I've been seeing a lot of Dubai pictures lately. I'm finding it more and more attractive.

The Third and the Seventh

I think there is something profoundly beautiful about this film. I found it on Amy Stein's blog. My recommendation: Full screen and with headphones.

I'm not sure if I'll go see this movie, but I like Peter Jackson, and the imagery looks like it's pretty neat. I didn't read the book, but perhaps it's better that way?

I'm not sure how this movie will be, but it's a combination of director Sam Mendes, (Revolutionary Road, American Beauty,) John Krasinski with facial hair and glasses (!), and Maya Rudolph. It looks delightful. Check out the trailer below:
